On June 15th, 2024, the Teboil Ruskeasuo yard was transformed into an electrifying battleground for Snacky SLAM 2024. Invited by friends, including one of the wrestlers themselves, I eagerly took my camera to capture the wrestling mayhem. My previous encounter with SLAM Wrestling was at the American Car Show 2024, and once again, I found myself surrounded by vintage American irons, this time in a gas station parking lot—a unique and fitting setting for such an explosive event.

Early Arrival and Nostalgic Vibes
Arriving early, I had the opportunity to soak in the atmosphere and prepare for the day packed with wrestling action. The juxtaposition of the wrestling ring against the backdrop of classic American iron set the stage for a night of memorable moments and high-octane excitement. With my camera in hand, I was ready to document the adrenaline, drama, and action that SLAM Wrestling is known for.
Miika Forsström vs Johnny McMetal: A Fight That Turned into a Food Fight
The first match of the evening saw Miika Forsström take on Johnny McMetal. What started as a traditional wrestling bout quickly escalated into a chaotic food fight outside the ring. Burger mayonnaise flew through the air, splattering the audience and adding an unexpected twist to the match. Personally, I chose to stay back, not wanting to risk getting gravy on my camera.

Newcomer Debut: VV Vuori vs Will Carnage
Next up was the debut match of VV Vuori against Will Carnage. The excitement was palpable as Vuori defeated Carnage with a stunning flying crossbody press, securing a pinfall victory. The intensity displayed by the newcomer were evident.

TT Suosalo vs Romero
The third match featured TT Suosalo facing off against Germany's Romero. TT Suosalo showcased his technical prowess, ultimately defeating Romero with a fisherman suplex and bridge. The showmanship of both athletes was a fantastic treat for a photographer like me.

Tag Team Showdown: "Back Breaker" Dylan Broda & Artur Arder vs Eemi Helén & Nick Lukkonen
The penultimate match was a thrilling tag team encounter. "Back Breaker" Dylan Broda and Artur Arder teamed up against Eemi Helén and Nick Lukkonen.
The fighting began before the match even began and that caused Broda and Arder almost give up on the fight until Helén and Lukkon decided to drag them back to the ring.
The action was fast-paced and relentless, with Broda and Arder eventually emerging victorious after a high kick to the face by Arder allowed Broda to pin Helén. Capturing the teamwork and dynamic moves of both teams made for some of the most energetic photos of the night.

Main Event: SLAM! Women's Champion "Golden Amazon" Heidi Katrina vs Madison Morgan
The final match of the evening was the highly anticipated bout between SLAM! Women's Champion "Golden Amazon" Heidi Katrina and 16-year-old Danish prodigy Madison Morgan. Katrina retained her title via pinfall following a devastating dropkick. The intensity and determination of both wrestlers were on full display, and my photos from this match convey the high stakes and fierce competition of the main event.
