501st Legion is a worldwide Star Wars costuming organization whose goal is to promote interest in Star Wars through the building and wearing of quality costumes and to facilitate the use of these costumes for Star Wars-related events as well as contributions to the local community through costumed charity and volunteer work.
I came with the 501st Legion - Nordic Garrison who were showing off their costumes at the Musiikkitalo lobby, posing for pictures with excited fans.
I had the opportunity to photograph the John Williams Movie Themes Concert the last weekend. This concert was a tribute to the late John Williams and his scores from Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, Jaws, and many other iconic films. The venue for this concert was Musiikkitalo in Helsinki.
Event photography is something I enjoy doing because there is a lack of specific requirements that I need to capture. Instead, it's like street photography where I need to hunt for great moments. I hope you enjoy these photographs as much as I enjoyed photographing them!
