First, to hit the big stage at the Hellsinki Industrial Festival 2021 was Biomechanimal. This was a fairly new name to me, but honestly, I have a terrible knowledge of different bands, artists, and names overall. With further listening at home I noticed Zardonic had made a remix of Crown of Glass and it was on top of my Spotify most listened song this year. Glad I finally found the original artist as well because Biomechanimal went straight to my playlist.
During this gig, I tried to shoot from the middle of the audience most of the time. I love adding some of the audience to the photos showing the excitement, dancing, and hands upon the air. Unfortunately, most of these were slightly unfocused due to the issues with my telelens. Maybe I'm just too perfectionist because they will look sharp in max sizes shown on social media and most never need these photos in print quality anyway. I guess I just need to forgive myself a little and share even slightly unfocused shots (and I did share a few already). This was the second time using my 70-200mm in such a dark environment. It would be better to use prime lenses and I'm sure I'll get one before next summer.
"Can I download and share these photos?" - Yes absolutely you can and should! I appreciate it if you can tag @samaelcreative to your posts for the credits, but all Samael Creative event photos are meant to be shared.
"Can I have a print-quality version?" If you are the artist, person in the picture, event organizer, or label then yes it's possible. I do charge a fee based on what the photo is used for and in most cases, a print-quality version requires further editing aka more work.
