Dark fusion dancer Anni wanted to shoot some photos outdoors while there still was some snow on the ground. This was actually my first photoshoot during the day in winter time making it a bit new experience. Most of my photos are fairly dark and this was the complete opposite.
Because Anni lives nearby I thought why not shoot right next to my place in Kannelmäki because there are plenty of natural elements like woods, fields, and a river. Only problem was that there were quite a lot of skiers and all the paths were turned into ski trails. So we had to walk in deep snow to get anywhere.
I wish I had chosen some proper boots for that day because my sneakers were full of snow from the minute we found the first shooting location next to the river called Mätäjoki (rotten river). What a beautiful name for a river.
Because I wanted to make these photos slightly more dramatic I added some fog and snowfall to all of them. Editing these gave me tons of new ideas I want to try out especially more photo composing. Hopefully, I got to work on them soon!
