The first photoshoot we had with Sister Obscure after I got a DSLR of my own after a long long time. I didn't have much else than one lens and the body, so I had to make it do.

I shot this set at home in our stairwell that I covered with every black fabric I could find.

I am happy that I invested in fast prime lenses right at the beginning. It allowed me to shoot basically anywhere even when there isn't any good background.
